Who Is Lydia?

I am a therapist, wife and mom to two adopted children. I love nature, animals, music, and dance. I have been in my field for more than twenty years. My focus has always been to support people to remember the joy that inspires them to dream.

Education: I earned my Master’s in social work (MSW) in 2001 focusing on working with adults, children and families. I completed certificates in both marriage and family therapy and Trauma Counseling. My continuing education focused on child development, attachment and adoption issues, the circle of security, parenting skills, grief and loss, Dr. Dan Siegel’s interpersonal neurobiology (the science of how the brain develops and changes in our relationship with others), hypnotherapy, EMDR and brainspotting. I am exploring the magic of internal family systems therapy, somatic experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to discover the power of how the body teaches us about our subconscious emotional mind.

I provide clinical supervision for folks working on their LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).

As an energy empath I can feel your energy, which provides more information than words alone. We may use Pranic Healing for positive energy and chakra balancing.
