Do we have to talk all the time?

No, that’s not necessary! We will use many styles of learning and growing, to make sure your tools are in your whole brain (conscious and subconscious) and heart. This could include: art, movement, music, breathwork, mindfulness/meditation, hypnosis, trauma processing (EMDR & brainspotting), writing, reading, affirmations, somatic experiencing, etc.

What does my diagnosis mean?

While I prefer not to label people, Insurances companies require that I give you a diagnosis in order to bill insurance. This is a code from the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistic Manual. We will discuss what this code means and agree on its use.

Do you work with kids or adults?

I work with people, at any age. Kids struggle, and so do adults. Often, adults in fear or pain tap into their habits and reactions from when they were kids, so really, we’re always working with your inner kid in some way.

What would a session look like?

Individual sessions could focus on practicing stress management, changing automatic emotional responses, learning specific parenting skills, working on improving communication, changing the subconscious.

Will we be discussing the past?

We will be briefly exploring the role of the past has in shaping your response now. However, our main goal is to create tools you can use today to feel better and make positive changes now.
